Chris White is Chief Executive Officer of United Way Northwest Indiana, bringing more than a decade of leadership experience and a strong commitment to our community. He previously served as Publisher of The Times of Northwest Indiana from 2013 to 2023, where he built strong cross-sector partnerships and championed local engagement initiatives.
A longtime community leader, White has been actively involved with organizations including the Boys & Girls Club, the Salvation Army, and One Region, and is a former board member and chairman of Lake Area United Way. He played a key role in developing the Level Up program, now a cornerstone of regional economic mobility efforts. As CEO, White is focused on expanding United Way’s impact through innovation, collaboration, and solutions that strengthen families and communities across Northwest Indiana.
