Dave Mays, Jr.

Dave Mays serves as Workplace Campaign Director at United Way Northwest Indiana, building relationships with local employers and engaging employees in giving back to strengthen their communities.

Dave brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience to his role. Previously, he spent eight years as Director of Vs. Cancer for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. His career also includes 15 years with the YMCA, with six years serving as Executive Director of the Hammond Family YMCA.

His commitment to the community extends through his volunteer leadership. Dave has served as President of the Hammond Rotary Club, Vice Chair of First Tee Hammond, a member of the Salvation Army’s board of directors, and an advisory board member for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana. He currently serves on the advisory board for Triangle Hills YMCA Camp and the board of directors for Crown Point Youth Baseball.

Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, Kendra, and their sons, Mason and Maddox. He enjoys coaching baseball, playing golf, traveling, and visiting sports venues. As a family, they love cheering on their favorite teams—Go Cubs, Go Bears, and Go IRISH!
